When Mercer Island Martial Arts owners Master MeLissa Strongheart and Master Krista Wells heard news reports of two high school students in other parts of the country taking their own lives after persistent bullying, they decided they had to do all they could to make sure nothing like that ever happened in their community. Their anti-bullying program teaches kids in their martial arts classes to understand the damage it can cause and stop it in its tracks, whether they're the victim of bullying, the perpetrator or just a bystander.
